Barrier mats are an integral part of any maintenance system. Capturing inbound soil at threshold points (i.e., elevator lobbies, entrances/exits, and vending areas) and eliminating it with an aggressive vacuuming program prevents the spread of
soil to other areas within the facility. Two-meter to 3-meter barrier mats should be placed at the point of entry, based on traffic flow and other factors.
