Installation Begins During Product Design

Because Re:Source is committed to delivering product performance, we take a holistic approach to installation. For our primary brands Interface and Heuga and other Interface brands - Re:Source Service Providers are involved in product development from the design conception phase.
Delivering real world experience to the design development team, Re:Source professionals help to ensure maximum performance before the first order is placed.
There are several factors that are part of the evaluation process.
In addition to the product face, backing types and installation, products must meet diverse site conditions. Installation products and techniques are addressed to ensure installation precision
and less material waste on the job site. We also consider how a product will be packaged and transported, to determine the most sustainable and cost-effective options available.
All of this must be understood and integrated into the product design to ensure maximum performance and stability.

Pre-site Conditioning

A technically sound and aesthetically pleasing installation starts before the product arrives on the job site. Prolonging the installation of your flooring can affect a project's schedule, adding cost to your overall budget and providing headaches you just don't need.
Re:Source installation crews evaluate the work site for historical information that will tell them if additional preparation is required before installing your carpet, as well as how to complete your project on time and within budget.
Job site conditions, such as concrete moisture, can adversely affect your flooring investment post-installation and may not become obvious for months or years. Moisture vapour transmission, for example, is common and can result in bond failure between flooring materials and sub-flooring by bringing alkaline to the surface.
This can chemically destroy the adhesive and cause buckling or shifting of the floorcovering.

Cutting and Floorplan Techniques

The installation of especially designed floorplans play a critical role in preparing flooring estimates for materials and labour. Simply looking at a floorplan and assuming the design will be easy to install, can already cause carpettile shortages and unrealistic production schedules for the
installation crews. Overlooking or ignoring the potential impact of an intricate floorplan during the estimating process can force installation crews to compromise quality by cutting corners to meet unrealistic schedules. The end result of this approach will be delayed schedules; additional labour and material cost; customer dissatisfaction; and frustrations and headaches associated with required installation corrections.
Simply put, the more surprises that can be anticipated and eliminated during the estimation process, the easier it is for Re:Source Service Providers to deliver a quality installation.
Re:Source technicians will take the time to understand your facility take offs.
This provides installers with a production "road map" essential to anticipating potential floorplan alignment issues during the preplanning stages.
